How do you make money blogging? In this quick roundup, I will share with you my top 5 online courses and resources you need to learn to make money blogging.
So if you have a business or a side hustle, you have probably heard all about the importance of having a blog and now you are finally ready to start your own! Kudos to you! You are excited but maybe a little overwhelmed and don’t know where to begin. I understand that feeling. There are just so many courses out there, it’s kind of exhausting. Well, I’m here doing the fun legwork, seeing which courses are worth it so you don’t have to! Thank me later when we are rolling in it!
Before starting my blog, I was pretty clueless. I thought people started blogs because they had a passion to write and express themselves. I was totally unaware that there were bloggers making 6 figures! Say what? From a blog? I couldn’t believe it. So then I did more research and found more and more really successful bloggers earning a six figure income. And they all had something in common…they all had online courses to teach others how to make money blogging. So wait, there are wealthy bloggers teaching everyday people how to make money blogging? Giving us the step by step blueprint? Yes, girl there is! I couldn’t believe it myself, so I signed myself up for my very first online course. After that, I loved what I was learning about this new world I entered that I kept investing in my blog and taking more courses. Although, I still consider myself a newbie blogger, the investments I made in my blog were well worth the knowledge I gained and have paid for themselves at this point.
Here are 5 online courses I recommend to help you make money blogging.
Courses I have taken and loved:
How to make money blogging: The Paid Pitch
The Paid Pitch is an online coaching program created by Jenell B. Stewart. This was the first course I ever invested in for my blog and one of my favorites! The Paid Pitch teaches you how to pitch and land sponsored brand deals no matter how small your following is or how low your readership is on your new blog. This course was great in giving me the confidence to put myself out there as a newbie blogger. She teaches you how to create a media kit, write pitches, and put your brand in front of the right companies. This course is 100% worth the knowledge and mentorship Jenell gives weekly to her students. She is down to earth, gives you straight forward strategies, no fluff, and sometimes even a swift kick in the you know what to keep you on track. She’s the real deal.
How to make money blogging: Bloggers Academy
The Bloggers Academy is an online program by Jenell B. Stewart ( I just love her!) that offers advice, tips, strategies and courses on how to create content for your blog as well as how to monetize your blog monthly. This monthly membership program has helped me learn how to launch and maintain my blog, how to always create content my readers want to read, how to increase engagement and traffic, and the amount of brands I’ve been able to collaborate with for paid partnerships. Simply put, the Bloggers Academy will make you a better blogger.
Courses I have not taken but will:
How to make money blogging: 6 Figure Blog Academy
The 6 Figure Academy is a step-by-step online course that will teach you how to make money blogging. The author of Root and Revel, Kate Kordsmeier offers one on one coaching and DIY resources, including SEO training, how to grow an audience and email list, how to turn blogging into a successful business, how to pitch an e-book, and more in her Six Figure Blog Academy.
How to make money blogging: Jenn Carrington
I’m a super type A perfectionist that is prone to burnout…often. I have workaholic tendencies. I became a blogger to have a life of freedom and time flexibility while expressing myself creatively. So working 24/7 does not fit into the vision for my life and I need to learn balance.
That brings me to this online course that I will be taking because I need it. After reading Jen Carrington’s blog, particularly this post, I knew I wanted to take her course. Her post resonated with me so much and how I have been feeling as of late that I am ready to invest like yesterday! The Intuitive Workweek is less about specific strategies for growing your business and more reflecting on and discovering what kind of business and life you really want to be building. This course is currently not for enrollment, but I would check back. Also, her section on monetizing your blog is fire!

The Blogging Millionaire
Major point to take away from this is to invest in yourself, invest in your blog, invest early. Whether it’s taking an online course to learn about a specific skill, a mastermind to work on your mindset and any mental blocks you may have, or joining a membership community with other like minded women for support and mentorship, it is necessary to take your goals to the next level. The investment is worth it in the long run even if your blog is currently not making money, trust that it will and do the necessary work to get it there.
